The epic science fiction action movie Kalki 2898 AD, which Nag Ashwin is co-writing and directing, is scheduled for release in 2024 in India. With few parts reshot in Hindi, the film was mostly shot in Telugu under the production of C. Aswani Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies.
This post-apocalyptic film, which takes place in 2898 AD, is based on Hindu mythology. Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani co-star with Prabhas in the title role.
With a production expenditure of ₹600 crore (about US$75 million), Kalki is the most costly Indian film ever made. Santhosh Narayanan composed the film’s soundtrack, while Djordje Stojiljkovic handled the photography, Nitin Zihani Choudhary handled the production design, and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao handled the editing.
