Prabhas, whose full name is Uppalapati Venkata Suryanarayana Prabhas Raju, is a famous Indian actor. He was born on October 23, 1979, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He comes from a film family, with his uncle being the famous Telugu actor Krishnam Raju. Prabhas made his acting debut in 2002 with the Telugu film “Eeswar”. He gained popularity with his performance in the movie “Varsham” in 2004.
However, it was his role as Amarendra Baahubali in the “Baahubali” series that made him a household name across India and internationally. These films were directed by S. S. Rajamouli and became the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
