Vijay Deverakonda is a popular Indian actor who predominantly appears in Telugu movies. He was born on May 9, 1989, in Achampet, Telangana, India. Vijay’s father, Deverakonda Govardhan Rao, was a TV director and his mother, Madhavi, was a soft-skills trainer. He also has a younger brother named Anand.
Vijay completed his schooling at Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh. He then pursued his Bachelor of Commerce degree at Badruka College of Commerce in Hyderabad. However, Vijay’s passion was always in acting, and he started his career in the entertainment industry with small roles in Telugu movies.
Vijay’s breakthrough came in 2015 with the romantic comedy “Yevade Subramanyam”, where he played the lead role. However, his real success came with the 2017 movie “Arjun Reddy”, where he played the titular role. The movie was a commercial and critical success, and Vijay’s performance was widely appreciated. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu for his performance in the movie.
Since then, Vijay has acted in several hit movies, including “Geetha Govindam” (2018), “Taxiwaala” (2018), and “Dear Comrade” (2019).
